SQL Server is a product of Microsoft Corp. As stated by Microsoft, they are planning to launch new version of SQL Server that will be SQL Server 2012. SQL Server 2012 will have several features like Fast performance, interactive data visualizations, mission critical confidence with high uptime and many more. They have not issued the exact date for launching of SQL Server 2012 but excepted launch date is first half of 2012.
SQL Server 2012 Editions: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 will be available in three main editions, enterprise, business intelligence and standard edition.
Note: SQL Server 2012 will be also available in web, developer and express editions.
