Recently Microsoft has announced that extended support service for MS SQL server 2000 will end on 9th April 2013 and SQL server 2000 will no longer supported by the Microsoft.
What is Available after this? As stated by Microsoft, all the self help online support will be available for minimum one year. For example: KB articles, troubleshooting tools, FAQs etc....
Resolution: You can handle this problem by upgrading your SQL server 2000 database.
